This Favre-Leuba Chronograph from the 1960s is an amazing find. From an up-and-coming collectable brand that was at the top of their game in the 1960-70s, this Favre-Leuba piece features a lovely aged silver dial with telemetre, applied indicies, and an applied Favre-Leuba logo at 6 o’clock. The dial has lume plots at each of the indicies. The hands are rectangular and lumed. The lume is aged and is no longer functional (as expected). At the heart of this watch is a Favre-Leuba Valjoux 23 laternal clutch column wheel movement. This series of high-end Valjoux movements were used by Rolex, Heuer, Breitling, etc. Famously, Rolex used a related movement in their vintage Daytonas. The movement in this piece is impeccable and the pushers and chronograph are smooth to operate. The watch features a 30 minute register and can track seconds and minutes up to 30. The watch features a new dive crystal, a finely cleaned dial and hands, an ultra-sharp restored original case, a new high-end leather oiled leather strap with stitching, and a spectacular Favre-Leuba Valjoux 23  movement that has been overhauled and restored to OEM specs. The watch is in beautiful restored condition as per our extensive restoration and authentication process.

This Favre-Leuba chronograph is powered by the Favre-Leuba Valjoux 23, a laternal clutch column wheel movement, which runs at 18,000 vph. The movement is hand wind and has a good power reserve. The watch is 36.5mm in diameter and has a 19mm strap size. The The caseback and crown have new gaskets and combined with the new dive crystal, this watch features mid-range water resistance.
