This classic and collectible 1953 Universal Geneve Uni-Compax 22420-1 Dual Register Chronograph is a vintage masterpiece. The watch features a warm beige patina dial with gold markers, gold alpha hour and minute hands, heat-blued sub-dial hands, and a heat-blued center second hand, all of which fit together harmoniously on the new high-end stitched leather strap. The watch features a new acrylic crystal, delicately cleaned dial, cleaned and polished hands, original case, new high-end stitched leather strap, and a Universal Geneve 285 movement that has been overhauled and restored to OEM specs. The watch is in beautiful restored condition as per our extensive restoration and authentication process.

The Universal Geneve Uni-Compax Chronograph features an overhauled and restored high-end UG 285 manual wind lateral clutch column wheel movement. Operating the chronograph on this watch is a real pleasure as the pusher action is incredibly smooth. The watch runs at 18,000 vph. The movement is manual winding with a good power reserve. The watch is 35mm in diameter, which was large for the period. The new high-end stitched leather strap comfortably fit wrists up to 8″. The dial, case, movement are all signed Universal Geneve.
