A truly special 1960s Gallet Dual Register Chronograph. Gallet chronographs are becoming extremely collectible, and when looking at this clean example, one can see why. This watch features a wonderful and original rich white dial with blue highlights, a blue tachymetre outer track, beautiful blued leaf hands, blued subdial hands, and a blued center second hand. Gallet is often cited as the oldest watch company in existance, with its history tracked back to the year 1466. This watch was produced near their peak of popularity, which was in the 1950-1960s. The watch features a new acrylic crystal, delicately cleaned dial and hands, a beautifully restored beads-of-rice bracelet, original restored case, and a Gallet Venus 188 lateral clutch cam-driven movement that has been overhauled and restored to OEM specs. The watch is in beautiful restored condition as per our extensive restoration and authentication process.

This Gallet Chronograph features an overhauled and restored original Gallet Venus 188 that runs at 18,000 vph and tracks seconds and minutes up to 30. The movement is manual wind and has a good power reserve. The watch is 36mm in diameter. The watch takes a 18mm strap. The adjustable beads-of-rice bracelet will fit wrists up to 7 3/4″. The dial, case, movement are all signed Gallet & Co. The caseback, crown, and chronograph pushers have new gaskets and combined with the new crystal, this watch features mid-range water resistance.

As with all our restored pieces we sell, this 1960s Gallet Chronograph comes with our zero-headache warranty.
