The Zenith 408 is a mechanical watch movement with various notable technical features. It incorporates Diafix combined settings for the escape wheel and third wheel, enhancing its efficiency and performance. Unlike the conventional approach, the winding gear is integrated within the movement itself, eliminating the need for attachment to a manual-wind calibre. This integration, along with an indirectly driven minute, contributes to a robust movement with a large balance and a low profile. Additionally, the Zenith 408 offers a range of functions, including automatic winding, a sweep second hand, a hack feature, shock protection, and a micro adjustable regulator. This movement was utilized during the period from 1969 onwards.
