The Universal Geneve 218-97 watch movement, used during the period of 1972-1980, is a mechanical movement with optional plastic bushings replacing dial screws. It features an automatic mechanism, sweep seconds, and a day and date display. The day can be set by +/-24 hours, while the date can be quickly adjusted by repeatedly pushing the crown. Furthermore, the movement incorporates shock protection with the Incabloc system to enhance durability.
