The Universal Geneve 218-27 watch movement is a detached manual wind movement. It shares many similarities with the A. Schild 1571 movement, but the exact differences are not known. The Universal Geneve 218-27 movement features an automatic mechanism and sweep second function. It includes a day indicator without a quickset feature, and the date can be set using a pusher located at the 2 o'clock position. The movement also includes a center seconds hand and was commonly used around the 1960s.
