The Unitas 449 watch movement, also known as Vympel, Poljot 2209, and early Unitas 449, was in production from 1961 to 1975. In 1975, the manufacturing of this movement was transferred to another factory. Late samples of the Unitas 449 movement featured different mobile stud carriers and a ring balance. Functionally, this movement is a manual wind movement with a sweep second hand.
