The Tissot 2780 watch movement, widely similar to the Seiko 6601B, is an automatic movement introduced by UTC or UT, a Seiko brand that specializes in selling bare movements. The movement features a ball-bearing rotor and a sophisticated excenter self-winding mechanism with just one gear stage. It incorporates a stem mechanism without a setting-lever spring. Its functions include automatic winding, sweep seconds, and it does not support manual winding. The Tissot 2780 movement was commonly used around the year 1965.
