The Standard 1802 is a mechanical watch movement with a unique design where the train and hand gear are separately driven by the barrel. This allows for a lower profile and ample space for a large balance wheel. However, it necessitates high precision and gear stability due to the numerous wheels involved in coupling the second- and minute hand. The movement offers functions such as manual winding, sweep seconds, quickset date, shock protection, and a calendar with quickset. It was commonly used around 1980.
