The Savoie 238A is a manual wind wristwatch movement with a pin-lever escapement. It features an indirectly driven minute hand which allows for a big balance and low profile. Optional shock protection is provided by elastical spiral balance spokes. The movement is often or always referred to by the signature 8810, and any differences between the 8811 and 8813 are not known. This movement was typically used in watches produced around 1975 and includes the functions of manual wind and sweep seconds.
