The Oris 453 watch movement was produced from 1903 to 1935, with a total production of 524,000 units. It features an open face calibre, known as model 7, and is equipped with a bimetallic screw balance and a Breguet hairspring. The movement incorporates a negative stem mechanism, allowing for switching between winding and setting through the stem in lever position. Similar to other calibres like the 210, the escapement of the Oris 453 is modified. Additional functions of the movement include stem winding with switching options via the crown or lever, as well as a sub second display.
