The Mido 917P watch movement features a rotor with very small ball bearing and a strangely indirectly driven minute hand, allowing for a relatively big balance and low profile. The movement includes multiple functions, such as automatic winding, sweep seconds, date display that can be set by changing the time between 22:20 to 24:00 hours, a hack feature, shock protection, and a calendar. The Mido 917P movement was commonly used around the period of 1975.
