The Mido 917P watch movement is a highly esteemed mechanical movement that features a Triovis micrometer regulator for precise timekeeping. The base movement comprises 17 jewels, while the automatic mechanism utilizes 4 jewels, with variations in different iterations. This movement is built upon the esteemed manual wind calibre AS 1687/1688. Developed in collaboration with Doxa, Eberhard, Favre-Leuba, Girard-Perregaux, and Zodiac, this movement offers several functions including automatic winding, sweep seconds for accurate time measurement, quickset date adjustment by repeatedly pushing the crown, and a hack feature for time synchronization. The Mido 917P movement was predominantly used during the approximate period of 1965.
