The Longines 996.2 watch movement features a pin-lever escapement and a stem mechanism without a setting-lever spring. The train and hand gear are separately driven by the barrel. Its functions include manual wind, sweep second, day, date, day and date display, and sweep seconds. The movement is equipped with a pin lever and a calendar with quickset. It was used primarily around 1975.
