The Longines 8 watch movement is an open face calibre that can be stem wind and it also has the option for pin set. It features a pin-lever escapement and a coarse imitation of balance screws. The movement is equipped with an early two-section regulator for coarse and fine adjustment. The ratchet is located under the base plate, and the crown mechanism includes a rocker bar. Originally designated as 14-44, it was later renamed 44. The movement includes a sub-second function and was commonly used during the period approximately around 1930.
