The Jaeger Lecoultre 494 watch movement features a pin-lever escapement, allowing for accurate timekeeping. It has an indirectly driven minute mechanism, enabling a large balance and a low profile. Optional shock protection is available through elastical spiral balance spokes. This movement is often or always labeled as the 8810. The watch movement offers several functions including manual wind stop minute, continuously running center minute with a reset function using a pusher at 2 o'clock, and a sub-second display. It was primarily used during the period of approximately 1975.
