The IWC 53 18 watch movement, produced from 1917 to 1922, is an open face calibre, model 5 with a bimetallic screw balance and Breguet hairspring. It features an innovative design where one simple part replaces the setting-lever spring, yoke, and yoke spring. The movement offers stem winding and setting functionality, along with a sub-second counter.
