The IWC 3752 watch movement, introduced in 1976, features a ball-bearing rotor and a sophisticated excenter self-winding mechanism with just one gear stage. It does not have a hairspring stud, as the hairspring is directly clamped in the terminal. The movement shares many parts and casing dimensions with equivalent models of the 61XX family. It is an automatic movement with no manual winding feature. The movement includes functions such as sweep seconds, hours, minutes, and central seconds. It also includes a quickset date feature located at the 3 o'clock position.
