The Hermann Becker 314 is an open face calibre watch movement introduced in approximately 1939. It features a cylinder escapement and a unique crown mechanism with a rocker bar, but a ratchet on the back side. The presence and purpose of a completely functionless crown wheel is unknown. The movement allows for stem winding and includes a sub seconds function.
