The Hermann Becker 106 watch movement features a pin-lever escapement and a stem mechanism without setting-lever spring. The train and hand gear are driven separately by the barrel, with the train being driven by the excentric minute wheel. The hand gear is driven by the minute pinion running on post C and the friction-coupled cannon pinion E. This design allows for a low profile but requires high precision due to the coupling between the second- and minute hands. The movement offers manual wind functionality and sweep seconds, and it does not have a second hand. The Hermann Becker 106 movement was utilized around 1975.
