The Hamilton 690 watch movement, produced from 1977 onwards, features a micrometer regulator and is equipped with two serially coupled barrels. One barrel contains a fixed spring while the other utilizes a slip spring mechanism. The movement is considered equivalent to the Longines 990. It includes functions such as automatic winding, quickset date, and has been in use since 1977.
