Return To ShopThe Hamilton 2987 is a mechanical watch movement with a peculiar indirectly driven minute hand arrangement, allowing for a sizable balance and a low-profile design. It is nearly identical to the 1437 caliber, with the only difference being a mirror-image inversion. Two equivalent pairs of movements were produced, namely ETA 2480/2485 and ETA 2482/2487, each with mirrored dial feet positions, making them incompatible with one another. The reasons behind these twin variations and their usability for two-handed movements remain unknown. Designed for manual winding, the Hamilton 2987 movement was primarily used around the 1960s.
