The Girard Perregaux 352 watch movement, in use since 1973, features a unique and unconventional design that does not utilize a stepper motor or a quartz-controlled balance. Instead, it is equipped with a quartz controlled pin lever with an inductor, which is activated once per second. This movement is based on the mechanical predecessor B11, which incorporates the pin lever as a replacement for the original balance. The B12 movement also offers several functions, including a sweep second hand, day setting adjustable by +/-24h, date quickset by turning the crown forth and back, and a hack feature.
