The Fontainemelon 705 watch movement was produced between 1891 and 1893, with a total of 13,000 units made. It features an open face calibre, model 5, with a bimetallic screw balance and a Breguet hairspring. The movement includes a regulator with a nut on the thread bow, an unusual ratchet located under the base plate, and a negative stem mechanism with a rocker bar. Functionality includes stem winding, which can be switched using either the crown or lever, as well as a sub-second display.
