The Fontainemelon 701-2 open face calibre watch movement was produced around 1940. A variant of this movement was created with a skeletonized base plate and 7 jewels for promotional purposes by Girard-Perregaux in collaboration with Shell. The movement features stem winding and setting, a sub-second function, and brass bearings.
