The Fontainemelon 53 watch movement, introduced around 1960, features a pin-lever escapement and an indirect minute hand friction clutch on the barrel. A notable aspect is its design, which utilizes a single part to replace the setting-lever spring, yoke, and yoke spring. Some early samples of the movement were also equipped with a pointed staff. This movement offers manual winding and includes a sweep second function.
