The Fontainemelon 5 watch movement, produced between 1886 and 1895, comprised of approximately 19,000 units. It features an open-face design with a calibre model 5. The movement includes a bimetallic screw balance, as well as a Breguet hairspring. Notably, the ratchet on the movement is placed under the base plate, and it incorporates a negative stem mechanism with a rocker bar. The movement offers stem winding, which can be switched using either the crown or lever, and displays a sub-second function.
