The Excelsior Park 42 watch movement was developed in 1965 and is the first movement to operate at a frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour (A/h). It features a worm screw regulation gear and is based on the manual wind calibre AS 1687/1688. The movement offers the functions of manual winding and a sweep second hand. It was used during the period around 1965.
