The ETA 2824-2 watch movement features jewel bearings for the barrel, an integrated automatic gear within the movement, and an indirectly driven minute hand. This design allows for a sturdy movement with a relatively large balance and low profile. The movement includes several functions such as automatic winding, sweep seconds, and a calendar with a date set by changing from 21:45 to 24 hours. The ETA 2824-2 movement was commonly used around the year 1965.
