The ETA 2789 watch movement, developed jointly by Hamilton-Buren, Breitling, and Heuer in the period of 1969-, is equipped with the Dubois-Depraz 8510 module on a modified Buren 1281 base. Notable features of the movement include a crown positioned at 9 o'clock, a micro rotor, and a double excenter regulator for curb pins and stud carrier. Additionally, the indirectly driven minute hand enables a low profile design. The movement offers various functions, including an automatic chronograph with 60-second and 30-minute counters controlled by a cam switch. It also incorporates a sub-second display at 10 o'clock and a date function that can be set by changing the 21-24 hour indication.
