The ETA 1177 watch movement is widely considered to be on par with the Eterna 852 movement, however, the specific differences between the ETA 853, 854, 858, and 859 movements are not known. The ETA 1177 movement features manual winding and a sub-second function. It was commonly used in watches around the year 1941.
