The Elgin 546 watch movement features a pin-lever escapement, a stem mechanism without a setting-lever spring, and a strangely train and hand gear that are separately driven by the barrel. It offers manual winding, sweep seconds, and day and date display. The day can be set by +/-24h and the date can be quickly set by reverse setting. This movement utilizes a pin lever system. It was commonly used around the 1970s.
