The Elgin 429 watch movement is available in two different baseplate sizes and shares some similarities with the 70, 701-709, and 7010-7018 movements. However, the specific differences between these movements are not known. The Elgin 429 movement offers manual winding, a sub-second function, and automatic winding capabilities. It was commonly used in watches produced around the 1950s.
