The Elgin 293 watch movement, which was in use from 1925 onwards, features a bimetallic screw balance and a Breguet hairspring. It incorporates a stem mechanism without a setting-lever spring, but further distinctions between the 115 and 116 variants are unknown. The movement is manually wound and includes a sub-second function.
