The Elgin 291 watch movement is a manual wind movement that features a sub second and a timer function. It utilizes a steel impulse pin and consists of 14 jewels. The movement is part of the later stop-watch calibre with the same designation. Not much is known about the differences between the Elgin 291, 38, and 101 movements. The movement was commonly used around the 1960s.
