The Elgin 248 is a mechanical watch movement with similarities to other ETA calibers such as the 1080, 1082, 1084, 1086, 1088, 1094, 1096, 1098, 1140, 1142, 1146, 1148, 1154, 1156, 1174, 1176, 1178, 1180, and 1182. It is a manual wind movement with a sweep second function. The Elgin 248 was commonly used around the year 1955.
