The Elgin 241 watch movement, which was in production from 1972 onwards, features a range of functions including manual winding, sweep seconds, a quickset date, a manual quickset month calendar for days of the week in a month-overview, day and date display, and sweep seconds. In earlier samples of the movement, a separate click and click-spring were used, whereas later versions introduced a single-part click. Due to the limited quantities produced, the movement was often referred to as the 7426.
