The Elgin 205 is an American-made, open face watch movement that was produced between 1940 and 1955. It features a sub second function and is equipped with a stem wind and set mechanism. The movement incorporates a monometallic screw balance and is regulated by a Breguet hairspring. The model is known as the "5" and has a production volume of approximately 76,000 units.
