The Elgin 156 watch movement, which was used from 1958 to 1963, features a flat freesprung hairspring and a DuraBalance regulator. The regulator lever of the balance with two regulating weights allows for simultaneous shifts along the spiral-shaped spokes. The balance of the movement is protected by shock protection through the elastical balance spokes. It is a manual wind movement with a sweep second function.
