The Buren 539 watch movement, introduced in 1977, features a micrometer regulator and incorporates two serially coupled barrels. One barrel has a fixed spring, while the other has a slip spring. It is equivalent to the Longines 990 movement. The Buren 539 movement has several functions, including automatic winding, a sweep second hand, a quickset date feature, and a hack feature. It has been used since 1977.
