The Bettlach 1554 watch movement, also known as Excelsior 18'''/B, features an open face calibre design and a stop function using a pillar wheel mechanism. It is equipped with a patented spare-part compartment. The movement offers a timer function with measurements of 60 seconds (0.2s) and 30 minutes, controlled by the pillar wheel. Additionally, there is an optional configuration available with a timer function of 30 seconds (0.1s) and 15 minutes. For the addition timer option, the pillar wheel is omitted, and the balance stop A is operated separately by the slide B. The crown only serves for reset. Stem winding is utilized, accompanied by a sweep seconds hand. This movement was in use around the approximate period of 1925.
