The Baume & Mercier 13220 watch movement, introduced in 1964, was the first AS caliber to feature a ball-bearing rotor. Its design includes an indirectly driven minute hand, facilitating the incorporation of a large balance wheel while maintaining a low profile. Additionally, this movement provides automatic winding and a sweeping seconds hand. Furthermore, it offers a date function which can be adjusted by changing the 20-24 hour mark.
