It incorporates shock protection through elastical spiral-shaped balance spokes. Unique to this movement is the separate driving of the train and hand gear by the barrel. Its functions include manual winding and a sweep second hand. Additionally, the movement utilizes a jeweled lever. The Angelus 123SC was commonly used in watches around the 1960s.
