The Alpina 701 watch movement, produced between 1973-1974, incorporates a pin-lever escapement. It features an indirect minute hand, with a hand friction clutch on the barrel. To release the stem, the crown needs to be strongly pulled while turned counter-clockwise. Similarly, to insert the stem, the crown must be strongly depressed while turned counter-clockwise. It should be noted that there are additional variants within this watch movement family, although detailed documentation is limited. The movements are typically signed with the designation of the most commonly produced variant, with attached codes for features in cases where the official designation is unknown. Notably, this movement functions as a manual wind mechanism.
