The Alpina 571 watch movement incorporates an optional regulation gear and is based on the manual wind calibre AS 1687/1688. It features an automatic mechanism that was jointly developed by Doxa, Eberhard, Favre-Leuba, Girard-Perregaux, and Zodiac. The movement offers various functions including automatic winding, sweep seconds, day display adjustable by +/-24h, and date display adjustable by changing 21-24h. It also incorporates shock protection. The Alpina 571 movement was used during the period around 1965.
