The Alpina 568 is an open face calibre movement featuring a pin-lever escapement and a stop function controlled by a pillar wheel. Since approximately 1960, it has been equipped with shock protection. Additionally, since around 1970, it has undergone improvements, such as a mobile stud carrier, a new balance-stop, and a revised guide. The watch movement offers various functions including a timer with 60-second accuracy (0.2 seconds) and a 30-minute range, which is controlled by a pillar wheel. An optional version of the movement includes a 30-second timer (0.1 seconds) and a 15-minute range. Furthermore, the Alpina 568 has an addition timer, allows stem winding, features a sweep second hand, and is equipped with a timer function. This movement was in use around 1960, with specific production years not further elaborated.
