The Alpina 431 watch movement features a pin-lever escapement and a stem mechanism without a setting-lever spring. It has a strangely designed train and hand gear that are driven separately by the barrel. This movement offers manual winding capabilities and a sweep second function. It also includes a day and date display, with the day settable by +/- 24 hours and the date quicksettable by reverse setting. The Alpina 431 movement incorporates a pin lever and was commonly used around 1970.
