Return To ShopThe Alpina 409 is an open face calibre watch movement with a setting lever located between the plates. The setting lever sticks out of the movement when setting, and the movement can mostly only be uncased when the crown is in the winding position. It features a bimetallic screw balance with two adjustment screws. Options for this movement include the Breguet hairspring and Reed's regulator. The Alpina 409, part of an experimental movement family, consists of variants I and II, distinguished by differing setting bridges. This movement offers the functions of stem winding and setting, along with a sub-second display. It was commonly used during the approximate period of 1910.
