The Alpina 356 watch movement, produced between 1879 and 1894 with 31,000 units manufactured, features a hunter calibre and model 3 design. It is equipped with a bimetallic screw balance and a ratchet between plates, along with a crown mechanism incorporated with a rocker bar. This design effectively prevents any undesired movement of the hands during the process of switching from setting to winding, effectively circumventing a common issue encountered with rocker clutches. Furthermore, the Alpina 356 movement offers stem winding and lever setting capabilities, as well as a sub-second function.
