The A. Schild 738 watch movement, also known as the Wehrmachtswerk or Germany Military Movement, bears similarities to the AS 1130 and various other calibres within its line. Though the precise differences are unknown, it shares key characteristics with movements such as the AS 1142, 1149, 1243, 1286, 1295, 1304, 1339, 1383, 1387, 1399, 1401, 1420, 1487, 1502, 1522, 1540, 1542, 1548, 1573, 1597, 1667, and 1685. This particular movement is available in two sizes, 13.5''' and 14''', and features a sub second dial. The indirect sweep second variations include the 1155, 1164, and 1195 calibres. Notably, the 1392 and its counterparts had a short production run as they were swiftly replaced by the AS 1188, which boasted a direct sweep second. The A. Schild 738 movement is a manual wind mechanical movement with a period of usage dating back to approximately 1955.
