The A. Schild 2186 is a mechanical watch movement that was used in watches during the period of 1965-1969. It is an automatic movement which features two roller freewheels and a ball-bearing rotor. The regulation gear is controlled by a worm screw. The 31A movement is part of a family of movements based on the manual wind calibre AS 1687/1688. It is a collaborative development by several watch brands including Doxa, Eberhard, Favre-Leuba, Girard-Perregaux, and Zodiac. The differences between the 31A and 31.7 are not known. The movement also includes the functions of automatic winding and a sweep seconds hand.
